International Relations and Comparative Politics
The International Relations and Comparative Politics Group delves into the structure and transfiguration of the international community, as well as the attributes of and matters related to the "soft power" possessed by individual countries. Although approaches focus on international relations theory and comparative politics, the faculty members have multiple areas of expertise, which they employ in order to draw on a wide range of other disciplines, including the study of international organizations, international political economics, national security, public policy, urban administration, regional studies, cultural exchange, and cultural history. The areas covered range from Europe and the Americas to the Middle East and developing countries. Program graduates thus far have found employment with international institutions, civil service, aid agencies, news agencies, and private enterprises.
