Message from the Dean

The Faculty of Intercultural Studies at Kobe University is made up of the Fields of Culture and Globalization. Students attending the university are provided with a world class education where they can achieve their specific academic goals. Since being established, the Faculty of Intercultural Studies has been pursuing intercultural understanding as the foundation of its education and research endeavors. The Intercultural Studies program offers academic subjects that examine a broad range of issues including intercultural relations, cultural conflicts and international disputes. The curriculum is designed to assist students to develop astute intercultural communication skills, an asset in today's globalized world. Additionally, students are encouraged to explore different cultures, in part through studying foreign languages offered at the university.
