講演要旨

 
国境を越えるエリート女性の観点と経験については、今日まであまり知られていない。この講演では、1970年代から2010年代にかけて香港にやってきたプロフェッショナル女性を大きく3つのタイプに分け、移動の仕方、人生設計、心配事、それぞれの事情、所属意識について考察する。そして、移住女性研究が、グローバル都市における移住研究の理論化および実証調査の「伝統的な」同化モデルを越える思考を切り開くことを提案する。
To date we know relatively little about the perspectives and experiences of female transnational elites. Our presentation looks at the mobility and life strategies, concerns and contexts, and sense of belonging of three broad types of transnational female professionals who arrived in Hong Kong between 1970s and 2010s. We will suggest how studies of expatriate women can pave the way for thinking beyond traditional models of assimilation in theorising and empirical investigation in the field of migration in global cities.
