講演概要
We welcome a prominent photographer, Dr. John Tran. His lecture entitled  "Uncertainty and Precarity of Photography" is followed by a few presentations regarding Dr. Tran's works. In his photographic works, we could find both organized things and disorganized things, lightness and darkness, and something strange compared to the surroundings coexisting within one frame. Taking these binary oppositions as examples, we will try to think about the unstableness of  both photographic representation and  our perception. .
 
講演者略歴
1965年、イギリスSt.オールバン生まれ。サセックス大学卒業。チェルシー芸術大学博士課程修了。日本の風景に見られる「ノスタルジー」をテーマに写真を取り続けている。日本の風景に見られる「ノスタルジー」をテーマに写真を撮り続けている。最近の展覧会にグループ展（Qギャラリー、東京、2016年）、個展「Tokyo Story」（GLAS ギャラリー、名古屋、2014年）、個展「Tokyo Remmants」（American University of Paris、2014）などがある。
